On behalf of Te Aka Wāhine o Tāmaki, Auckland Government Women’s Network, and the National Summit organising committee, I welcome you to the national Women in Public Sector Summit, 2025.
Our theme this year, Stronger together for Communities, reflects the strength we find when we come together—across agencies, backgrounds, and experiences—to serve our communities with purpose and integrity.
Our guiding whakataukī, "Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi" – With your food basket and my food basket, the people will thrive, speaks to the power of collaboration. Each of us brings unique strengths, insights, and values. Together, we create a public service that is stronger and better equipped to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
Thank you for being part of this kaupapa. May today bring inspiration, learning, new connections, and a renewed sense of purpose and unity in the work we do.
