Welcome to Te Pua o Ngā Māreikura Women in Public Service Summit. On behalf of the Southern Summit organising committee I am looking forward to welcoming you to Te Pua o Ngā Māreikura; the Women in Public Service Summit, to be held in Ōtautahi, on Tuesday 14 March 2023.
The aim for the day is to provide you with a full programme of inspiring speakers, opportunities to reflect on your professional development, and to connect with wāhine across the Public Service.
Mā mua ka kite a muri, mā muri ka ora a mua Those who lead give sight to those who follow, those who follow give life to those who lead.
The whakatauki chosen to inspire our hui embraces the many challenges that come with leadership. Leadership is developed across the course of our lives. Growing the skills of leadership, along with the courage to hold true to your own values, requires practice; observation and reflection.
In this context, our hui acknowledges and values the importance of embracing your journey as a leader while at the same time encouraging the humility of the follower, as essential to our task.
Join us to learn, grow and connect across this day which we know will be abundant with stimulating kōrero and debate.
Nga mihi nui
