The Biogas Bridge
We’re excited to bring you The Biogas Bridge — New Zealand’s flagship forum dedicated to advancing understanding of anaerobic digestion in waste management, and the role biogas will play in our clean energy future.
Held in Wellington across 1½ days on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 July 2025, this national forum will bring together the key participants: waste stream producers, asset owners, leading experts, industry and primary sectors bodies, policymakers, researchers, and innovators from across New Zealand and the wider Australasian region.
As New Zealand accelerates its shift toward a low-emissions future, biogas is gaining recognition as a valuable, underutilised solution - supporting emissions reduction, energy resilience, and more sustainable approaches to managing organic waste.
The Biogas Bridge will:
· Connect the dots between waste management challenges and solutions, energy, emissions, and regional development
· Educate & inspire about how biogas could benefit your organisation, and how the business case stacks up
· Showcase pioneering biogas waste management projects, technologies and solutions from across New Zealand and around the world
· Explore the policy, infrastructure, investment, and actions needed to economically scale renewable gas
· Build momentum toward a commercially viable, sustainable, low-carbon economy driven by local action
Whether you’re developing projects, shaping policy, or exploring opportunities in your region, The Biogas Bridge is your chance to connect, learn, and lead.
